I was excited to do two laps in one go around Theodore Roosevelt Island!

I'm lucky enough to have a girl who wants me to be healthy and fit and also goes on training runs with me, too.So, we jumped into the CRV and headed out to Theodore Roosevelt Island for a couple laps, for about 3 miles, around and around. I quite enjoyed it.

My girl and I popped out to Roosevelt Island and did one 1.5 mile trail running lap and then another 1.5 mile trail running lap.

Sadly, this was surely a spirited walk instead of a run, but I was just getting my body prepared.

Colder than I'm dressed for just a walk to work.

Lovely. Cut it a mile short because a 16E bus driver for ART—Arlington Transit—took pity on me while I was wandering around the Pentagon and stopped in the middle of the road and let me on, God bless him. I was done but I would've done the rest. But I appreciated the generosity and kindness. I even had a metro card so it was all good!
