Why I’ve been MIA on RNNR
-
I realize that I haven’t posted since June 26th and I can explain. My heartbeat converted from sinus rhythm to atrial fibrillation (AFib) on that day and hasn’t popped back into sinus rhythm on its own (which is can and often does) which means that I am benched until I can get my healthy heartbeat back.

I think I finally have a feasible fitness plan for 2019
-
349 pounds snuck up on me. The last time I had checked, I was 312, which was still 100 pounds too heavy. Now I am 150 pounds overweight. I could blame the season or blame the stress and sitting required to launch an online magazine, but I know the blame is on me.

Consider your own fat mass in your kettlebell workouts
-
I am around 300 pounds (136kg) and my fat mass is around 33%-40%. 300lbs*.33=99lbs (45kg) and 300lbs*.40=120lbs (54.5kg). It's really important for all of us plus-sized (ahem, obese), big and tall, boys and girls to consider how much extra weight we have on our bones when we take up kettlebell training.

Sometimes it takes 18-months to motivate enough to commit and get started—and that's okay!
-
I have had this timer set up to prompt me to do 90-seconds of kettlebell swings every single hour of the day. I've been ignoring it for over 18-months but started doing it again today.
