On contradicting my Marine dad's sage health advice
My dad's advice was "if you don't need to run, walk; if you don't need to walk, stand; if you don't need to stand, sit; if you don't need to sit, lie down." I am embracing the diametrically opposite.

My fitness rocket has officially successfully launched
Like SpaceX and Blue Origin, I always have a hard time even getting off the launchpad to say nothing of neither exploding nor imploding. This time, however, I think I am off the pad and past the riskiest parts of the launch.

Roger Wolfson on Fitness and Moderation
I was in my 20s when I met Roger Wolfson. He has always had a vision for his life even when he was in his young 30s. Added "take the stairs" to my resolutions
The worst workout when I was a college rower at GWU was running the Exorcist Steps in Georgetown off of Water Street. We flowed up and down, first thing in the morning, as a team, with folks powering up and streaming back down. It was a terrestrial vomit comet, worse than suicides, burpees, and wind sprints combined.

Digging on being the jock
After a long road of playing pool, staying out late, and eating crap, I have returned to my inner jock.

Fake it ‘Til You Make It
There is a slogan I remembered this morning which brought everything together for me: fake it ‘til you make it. A couple years ago I suffered from obesity, high blood pressure, weak knees, and bad habits. I decided to take this pithy slogan and pretended to be a healthy and see what would happen.
