Uncommonalities Book Launch: You're Invited!

My old TMN.COM The Meta Design Network days from the proto online world of the 90s buddy, John Schoneboom, just invited me—and all y'all—to attend the launch of his new book, Uncommonalities Volume II: Bad Enough, via Zoom. So, enjoy!

Hello! I wanted to invite you to the online book launch event for Uncommonalities Volume II: Bad Enough (Bratum Books), happening this Saturday at 7pm UK time, 2pm east coast USA, erm, 1pm Chicago, god knows what time in Japan -- what was I taI wanted to invite you to the online book launch event for Uncommonalities Volume II: Bad Enough (Bratum Books)lking about again? Oh yes, I wanted to invite you to my book launch!

Uncommonalities is a new series of short story collections, the central conceit of which is that all the stories in a given volume start with the same first line, thereafter to flourish into a beautiful diversity of intertextuality, if that's not a dirty-sounding word. Volume II stories begin: "It would've been bad enough without the..."

I'm very excited about this one. We've got a range of writers involved, from the very experienced to the talented newcomers, and not to single anyone out but my god man, we've got the fiction-writing debut of The Jazz Butcher in here! The Jazz Butcher I tell you! Yes! I invited him and he said yes and he came through and he actually wrote a story and it's in here! And it's so good!

Please do come if you can, feel free to sip a beverage or quietly chew a snack while you listen to some of the authors reading extracts from their stories. None of us will read for more than five minutes, that's our No Boredom promise to you. Whole thing'll be over in an hour.

We'll be using Zoom, and here's the link: https://newcastleuniversity.zoom.us/j/86814131282

Do feel free to share that link far and wide, because these things are extra fun when there are people there. It'd be lovely to see your familiar beautiful faces. And yours too, Eckstein.

Authoritatively yours,
John

p.s. Oh, and if you wanted to get a copy -- no pressure -- but if you did actually want to get one, you could for example get it here: https://amzn.to/2GzQMKm (in the US) or here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/1838173706/ (in the UK) or elsewhere.
