PERSONAL STATEMENT
I am a prominent expert in organic search engine optimization (SEO), online reputation management (ORM), Internet privacy, social media marketing, content marketing, blogging, and digital PR. My passion is using my expertise in online community outreach and advocacy to promote and protect client online brands employing nearly two decades of professional blogging, SEO, PR, marketing and ORM experience.
I have extensive experience in application development, web application development, SEO, and site optimization, and viral and word-of-mouth marketing. In addition to the experience highlighted on my resume, I have also held senior management positions with companies including New Media Strategies and Edelman. I consider my other strengths to be my interpersonal skills, and my mastery of sales, technology, and strategy.
I am a pioneer in online social networks and publishing with a natural facility for anticipating the next big thing; and I am an innovator and expert in Web 2.0 technologies, including content syndication, online collaboration, blogging, and user-generated media.

While I started out majoring in Political Science, I changed my Major to American Literature, the very last degree of that title that GWU ever offered. While studying at the Columbian College of Arts and Sciences, I was a heavyweight rower on the GW Crew, a Founding Father of the Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity, DC Alpha, I studied abroad in Norwich, UK, at the University of East Anglia (UEA), hosted a weekly house music and comedy show on WRGW radio, and also interned at the DC offices of The Baltimore Sun. I minored in Creative Writing and edited the English Department's newsletter, contributed to the poetry community, and also studied African American Literary Theory and Feminist Theory at the graduate level, focusing on Derridian Deconstructionism. I took a year off between Junior and Senior year and worked as a commercial photographer in Honolulu.
