A fresh and simple arugula and walnut pesto recipe from my sisters at 1970 Dogwood Street

When Anne Haas and Jen Tucker post a recipe, I jot it down. I love pesto, though I don't think I've ever had an arugula and walnut variant.

When Anne Haas and Jen Tucker post a recipe, I jot it down. I love pesto, though I don't think I've ever had an arugula and walnut variant.

Ever since I got right with pasta and potatoes, I am back in love with lovely sauces, and pesto is one of the most refreshing, healthy, restoring, and delicious. Please enjoy this lovely, simple, recipe.

The Girls of 1970 Dogwood Street

I love Ann and Jen over at 1970 Dogwood Street. They're very honestly both like sisters to me. They take me on field trips and I've explored chic boutiques and galleries with them in Bethesda, Maryland, and went on an Ikea trip with them down to Potomac Mills in Woodbridge, Virginia. We meet all the time for coffee and laughs at Northside Social.

Just Ordered My First Food Processor

This pesto recipe was enough to convince me I need a baby food processor.  I've had food processors before but only while I've been in relationships. They were never mine, they were always theirs. So, I just ordered a little 21-ounce Cuisinart food processor from Amazon. Now I'll have a food processor all my own!

Why such a little one? I'm a single bachelor who lives alone and has a tiny kitchen and because my Cuisinart Immersion blender can't cut it.

Yes, I know that pesto is perfect for freezing so I should be making it in bulk; however, I really don't have the space and I am sure will use a smaller one more often for a lot of the things I might not consider using it for were it wrapped up and hidden away in a cabinet.
