Roku Smart Soundbar Review

My last splurge before lung-fishing into the Coronavirus bog is this Roku Smart Soundbar that literally brought me to tears as I've been using the built-in speakers from this circa 2011 Sony 1080p TV and a soundbar changes everything, and a smart doubly so. It literally levels the sound so that voices are louder and clearer while also lowering the big explosions in big cinema. There's even a night mode that levels and suppresses loud noises at night. It's brilliant. I needed to install it upside down and I used industrial strength double-sided tape to glue it to the top of the television. So that when I angle the TV around the room, the speaker follows. Brilliant. Such a good investment for social distancing. The Roku device is built into the bar. So it's not just a speaker, it's a UHD 4k high-end Roku player and also a Bluetooth speaker. Very versatile.
