My Tachikoma ThinkPads: A Self-Hosted Sync Network for One Human and Many Terminals: For years, I’ve carried different laptops for different contexts — a Lenovo W520 on my desk and a rotating zoo of Lenovo X220s tucked into various bags: one in my GORUCK GR2 34L, one in my GR0, one in a leather satchel, another in a shoulder bag, and a few more sitting around like dormant terminals. All of them run Linux Mint. All of them are from 2011–2012. And all of them are still perfectly capable for the kind of work I actually do: text, code, docs, spreadsheets, PDFs, and the occasional PNG or web graphic.
