Finished the Holiday Challenge with 157,762 meters
The good news is that I rowed more than 100,000 meters during the 2015 Concept2 Holiday Challenge --  157,762 meters -- but the bad news is that I came short of the 200km that I wanted to accrue before midnight last night.

First of many long walks before bed
The best advice I never took—I only started last night—was given by my friend Sergey Krayev:

FitBit Surge gypped me on steps so I added a Zip
I do most of all of my daily steps on my LifeSpan Treadmill Desk DT-5. Since I am working on this desk all day, I am oftentimes leaning over a little, putting pressure on the built-in arms pads with my arms, and typing, typing, typing, isolating my movements so that I can focus on writing emails, contracts, proposals and hours client service work.

Gear and tech that'll make me strong and skinny

Getting some rowing in (I never remotely do it enough: frequency, intensity, or duration)
I was able to motivate myself enough, even after a terrible sinus headache, into doing almost seven thousand easy meters. It wasn't a lot in terms of intensity, distance, or duration, but I got it done

Give yourself permission to call an Uber of Lyft if you've overdone your outdoor adventure
I gave myself permission to call an Uber if I ever end up completely shagged out during one of my interminable death marches or slow jogs a long time ago. How amazing that I can click a button on my phone and be saved! In the image below, the light blue is my walking and the dark blue is the Ubering.

Giving 9Round Columbia Pike my money
A brand new 9Round gym opened up in the Penrose Square neighborhood of South Arlington, and I popped on January 7 after eating tacos and drinking margaritas at my favorite local, Taqueria el Poblano, just to see who took over the vacated commercial space.  It was a gym called 9Round.

Good and happy news for my Tuesday Fall Team Challenge update
I got in 10,085 meters today and got in some much faster power-10s and power-20s and was able to bring down my pace down to a 1:50-2:02 pace.
