- The most obvious thing about ThinkPads are their keyboards, and the X201 is no exception. Its keyboard feels like the ones on larger ThinkPad models, with pretty much full-size keys and good travel. These continue to be my favorite keyboards in the industry, important for someone who spends a lot of the day typing. The X201's keyboard has the familiar TrackPoint pointing stick, but this is the first 12-inch ThinkPad to add a trackpad, albeit one that is a bit cramped. Overall, it looks like you would expect a ThinkPad to–pretty much black all around, which isn't exciting these days, but it's distinctive and quite functional.
- It's easily the best typing experience on an ultraportable, besting the ones found in the Sony Z116GXS and Asus UL80Vt-A1
