Sohn, President and Co-Founder of Public Knowledge, sent me the following email this afternoon that I would like to share with you here.  I am a supporter of Public Knowledge in my own small way so I encourage you to read Gigi’s message, read up, make up your own free mind, and consider supporting PK’s good work, click here.

I’m sure you’ve heard about the recent flap over Glenn Beck and his crusade to bring down as many members of the Obama Administration as he can. Once he set his sights on the FCC, he got our attention—we couldn’t let it pass without comment.

Check out Art Brodsky’s entry on our Policy Blog for the real story on Beck’s latest target—Mark Lloyd, the longtime public interest advocate who is now the FCC’s Associate General Counsel and Chief Diversity Officer. You can read Art’s informative blog post at the Public Knowledge Policy Blog.

Here’s some of what he has to say:

Not to put too fine a point on it, but none of this is in any way connected to reality. Lloyd is an advisory attorney who holds no decision-making authority. He is no czar, any more than any of the other “czars” targeted by Beck’s Bad Boys are “czars.” He has no enforcement responsibilities. His job is to look over policies to make sure that all parts of the country, urban, rural, or wherever, benefit from all FCC policies.

Stay tuned to the Public Knowledge Policy Blog for the latest tech policy news.

Thank You,
