Twitter is Down (Because of Iran?)

Facebook is all atwitter about Twitter being down — or at least inaccessible — it feels a lot like a denial of service (DoS) attack.

I wonder if that DoS attack might be coming from Iran, since I think Iranian dissidents and protesters are most certainly using Twitter as a vehicle for protest and real-time information-sharing.

Well, alas, is isn’t nearly as sexy an evil-doer DoS attack, it is, indeed, very middle-of-the-day scheduled maintenance: from the Twitter Blog,

“Tonight’s planned maintenance has been rescheduled to tomorrow between 2-3p PST (1:30a in Iran).”
