Even though the gorgeous women in this film — and the women in art, too — are all unique, their features and their proportions are not. Their lips are all full, their eyes are all wide-set, their cheekbones are all striking. They have mostly the same “beauty ideal” and there is no doubt in it. I mean, it is shocking, really.
