I have been endlessly taunted by my adoptive family, Frank and Claudia, because I have been only working and not learning German. So, I have redoubled my effort by spending at least two-hours-per-day with Rosetta Stone Online. Rosetta Stone just upgraded from Version 2 to Version 3, which is a major improvement, offering sophisticated voice recognition software. I am blissed. I have worked through a few hours tonight but still have a lot to do. If you’re using version 2 of Rosetta Stone online, you need to call those people and insist on getting v3 — it is like night and day. Here’s a screen shot of the last place I landed.
I have gotten much further but I needed to start over with version 3 and I also think I needed a good refresh. It also seems that version 3 offers better grammar, better testing on articles — masculine, feminine, and neuter. And the voice recognition is a real Godsend.

have you tried Tell Me More. i have used both Rosetta and Tell Me More. I personally like Tell Me More. they have better learning method, great speech recognition and there customer service department is very polite and accomadating. I have been working on there software for over 6 months learning french and I can hold conversations and speak on my own.
