Since my day trip to NYC included two nights at two porn hotels, I spoiled myself on the way back to DC and jumped the last seat in the Acela: first class. Lots of room, lots of attention, lots of service, and lots of stints of burning up the tracks at 175+ miles-per-hour. Kind of rockstar and something I will do all the time when the funds allow or I marry rich.

very nice, yes. but I only do it when a client is footing the bill. otherwise it’s the good old metroliner for me.
Chris — Didn’t know the Acela *had* 1st class… good to know!
Ann Handley » Yup — the Acela does and it ain’t cheap. Either way, I really enjoyed myself. So civilized. Unlike the TGV in France, this train is very train-like. The TGV feels less like a train and more like a rocket pod or some sort of space vehicle or race car.
