PinExt Glenn Beck Tribute to Deceased LDS President Hinckley

While I am not a Mormon or a member of the Church of Jesus Christ and Latter Day Saints, I must admit that this is a moving tribute to LDS President Gordon B. Hinckley upon his passing from “shock jock” and talk show radio host Glenn Beck. My friend Janna sent it along so a tip of my hat to her.

Also, check out this video on how and why Glenn Beck converted to Mormonism. Also, very touching.

This was a very touching tribute and also a great video about Glenn Beck’s conversion to Mormonism. It is always great to see and hear people’s transformation from a life of confusion and bitterness to a life of clarity and joy…no matter what religion, faith or moral compass you believe in. Thanks for posting it

You’re welcome. And it is also a great example of how finding God, Faith, and morality in one’s life does not mean one becomes a pushover — I think everybody considers Glenn Beck an edgy and tough guy, not some sort of soft spiritualist.

Amen, Glenn Beck. I have lived a similar conversion. I am so passionate about being back in the church. And it keeps getting better. It has been 26 years. The blessings are so abundant that I just want to give back all the time. Lucky me and lucky you to have this.

Nice he got his life back together, however it wasn’t Mormanisim that did it. It was a need in his life that filled a void. That being said, Mormons have tried for decades now to be known as Christians and they are NOT, the doctrinal differences are so vast there is NO simularities between the two, they are emnities to one another. Jesus said that HE is the way the truth and the life, no man can come to the father but THROUGH ME. Paul stated that Baptisim does NOT wash away sin but only dirt from the world. But mormonism EXISTS on Baptisim for the living AND the dead, thus the geneology requirement to enable their brothers/sisters to perform baptisims in the Temple for the dead. Also, Jesus stated that He went to prepair a place for His believers, and those who are not believers would be in another place. So, either with Jesus or with the demons. Mormonism has 3 heavens, the best of the best go with the Father, the OK people go with the Son, and the murderers and criminals they go stay with the Holy Spirit, which they don’t believe is a person anyway.
I really can’t understand how an educated man such as Beck could get caught up in such a cult, which wants so badly to be called ‘Christian’ while Christ Himself excludes them because they teach eternal life by a another GATE that is not the Gate of Christ.
