Catherine Zeta-Jones might have done a fantastic job in the remake of Drei Sterne, No Reservations, but I daresay she could never be the uptight china doll that is the phenomenally-gorgeous Martina Gedeck.
“Set at a trendy restaurant in Hamburg, Germany, this is the story of how a gourmet chef, Martha, who has always had a very rigid and controlled way of doing things, finds her order breaking into chaos as she brings her orphaned niece into her home. To fill the gap created by her new lack of structure, her boss hires an Italian sous chef, who brings flavor and excitement into the kitchen… and maybe a little romance into Martha’s life, too.”
I saw Mostly Martha when it came out in the states and it is even better with a little German and a little age.
I really must say that Martina Gedeck may be the most beautiful woman every made by God. A true modern Helen, if Helen were obsessive-compulsive, arrogant, repressed, and passionate about food.

You’re kidding, right?
Of course not. What would make you think that?
