Chris, I read the blip in Wired about the “online analyst” position, and did a search on SimplyHired to see what I could find. Sure enough, New Media Strategies is one of the only companies to return in the results with the position title. I checked out the company site, and think that the service you are providing is very important for any business, but I am assuming that many businesses probably struggle to recognize the need for the service. Impressive list of clients none the less. Nice blog, also, but the ads are a little overwhelming.
Hi, Jared! I don’t work for NMS anymore. I worked there from 2003-2006. The ads are annoying but they give me an extra grand/month so they’re going to stay, I must admit… I think, no matter how wealthy I become, because an extra $12k/year is still pretty hard to ignore :) Yes, the Online Analyst thing is, totally, from New Media Strategies. I am very proud to have worked there. They just needed to be less cheap and pay all of us closer to what we were worth. Learning there was awesome but the moment I left is the moment my yearly income tripled!
