“Hey There Delilah” is such an insipid song that when I saw it being played by Plain White T’s on The Tonight Show, I had fantasies of John Belushi‘s John ‘Bluto’ Blutarsky rushing out, grabbing Tom Higgenson‘s acoustic guitar as he winced and whined and breaking it against the stage and set. What a wuss. I hope he was being ironic or cutting the requisite “prom song.”
