I do anything for people who flatter me, especially pretty people. Even if Strumpette herself didn’t flatter me I would pass this on. Why? CHICAGO – Strumpette, the widely popular marketing and PR e-zine, today announced that it is hosting a writing contest. Sponsored by Waggener Edstrom Worldwide, one of the largest PR firms in the world, the “Captivating Caption Contest” gives each participant 6 chances to win $500.
Amanda Chapel said, “If you’ve got the creative stuff to be in PR, this is easy money. Five hundred smackers for a simple photo caption. Hey, if you win, you can always tell people that you were once paid over $100 a minute in PR!”
Each month for 6 months, January through June, a new picture will be posted to the Strumpette website. To enter, you simply write a caption 40 words or less and email it along with your contact info to captions@strumpette.com. That’s it! At the end of each month, the Strumpette staff will select a winner and send you the dough.
What makes for a winning caption? According to Chapel, “Creativity and originality, goes without saying. Of course, being Strumpette, you know we’re going to be swayed by succinctness, sass and especially sex appeal.”

1. The contest runs from January 2007 through June 2007. A new picture will be posted to www.strumpette.com each month and one winner will be selected each month for that month’s picture. Entries must be submitted by midnight on the 20th of each month. The judging period will be the 21st through the end of each month. One prize will be awarded each month for a total of six prizes. The winners will be announced by the 5th of the next month and posted on the site.
2. Entries are limited to one entry per person per month. Captions must be 40 words or less.
3. Entries will be judged on sass, sex appeal, and succinctness. A nod will also be given to creativity and originality. The decision of the judges is absolutely final.
4. Winners will be notified using the contact information provided at the time of entry.
5. Each winner will receive a money prize of $500 U.S.
6. All entrants must be 18 years of age as of January 1, 2007. Employees of Sponsors (Strumpette and Waggener Edstrom Worldwide, Inc.), subsidiaries, affiliated companies, and agents and the immediate family (defined as parents, spouse, children, siblings, grandparents) of such employees, and all those with whom such employees are domiciled are NOT eligible.
7. All entries automatically become the property of WePublishing, Inc.
8. A complete list of winners will be available at www.strumpette.com and www.WaggenerEdstrom.com on or before July 31, 2007.
