The Intelligence Community Chooses Atom Syndication

by Chris Abraham on 04/01/2007 ·

From RSS and Atom Considerations: Moving Toward Atom, “This white paper recommends that the Intelligence Community, over time, move toward adoption of Atom Syndication Format as the Community’s standard XML-based language for syndication feeds. The paper compares Atom to the current de facto standard, RSS 2.0, and explains the many benefits to be gained by moving toward Atom.” Cool!

I’m pretty comfortable with both, although I’ve been happier with the results that I find in Atom.

My entire website is scraped data, actually. Although none is RSS or Atom, it’s all based on badges that are driven by whichever site I’m scraping.

I will most likely need your help over the next couple of weeks, that’s for sure!
