Lingerie Models Should be Voluptuous and Sumptuous and Curvy
by Chris Abraham on 05/12/2006

Since when did
lingerie models lose their curviness, their shapeliness, and their womanliness? When did the fashion models steal all of the lingerie models’ jobs? I wouldn’t suggest feeding
haute couture, but what about
haute allure? Feed them
haute cuisine, if you must!

I thought lingerie models looked at least like this:

Or this, right?

They didn’t lose it. Adriana, Gisele and Karolina are curvy. At least they didn’t use Jacquetta Wheeler this year (I don’t think.) I mean, I *love* Jacquetta – but that girl is NOT a lingerie model.
I agree with you. You need some curves for this kinda work. Especially if you want to convince all those size 10 housewives that they’ll look sexy in this shit.
:) One must bless blogging for its many attributes…this is blogging perfection : a tease of an idea, so to speak…
there is curvy and then there is curvy. Heidi Klum has curves but they are stretched out over a six foot long frame.
If they were selling this stuff to men, then I think you would be right, but they aren’t. They are selling it to women who don’t have near the appreciation for the curves.
Rachel, last night was all about getting men to buy more lingerie for their ladies. It is Christmas season and they weren’t pimping cotton undies and job bras.
Yes, men may have THOUGHT they were purchasing lingerie for their ladies. The reality is, any man who gives his lady a gift of lingerie is fooling no one. Its a gift purely for himself. And I agree with Rachel up there. Those models was totally fit, absolutely curvy enough and in my humble opinion, super gorgeous. The photo stills of the show present women who take care of themselves, aren’t gaunt, healthy looking and perfectly proportioned. Sorry boys.
“those models were” – heh heh
This girls weren’t fit, they were famished, gawky, skinny, and board-flat. Those wonderbras can make Gandhi look buxom.
Also, ahem, “any man who gives his lady a gift of lingerie is fooling no one. Its a gift purely for himself.”
Duh. And lookin’ even better on the floor — huzzah!
And the latest Bond girl was all bones, ribs, spine, elbows, knees, and ankles. That’s no sort of Bond girl! Egad, feed the Bond girl!
Scroll up. These girls are built like supermodels — runway models. I want my lingerie and swimsuit models to be Brazilian.
I know you’re not baiting me, but I am nibbling nonetheless. There are thighs and hips and breasts and asses there. I see them.
Technically speaking, victims of famines have thighs, hips, breasts, and asses, too. Technically speaking, that is.
Nice work keep it up these girls are really hot
the victoria’s secret models are curvier than the flat chested boy looking models on runways. don’t put slender women down because your want someone with a huge ass and boobs. the only reason you don’t like the vs ones is because you want to sexually objectify women and want to see nothing but a pair of ass, thighs, and hips….that’s not lingerie that is typical of a men’s magazine. Women want to look at things they can wear…they don’t want to be distracted by some other girls huge ass….that’s something only a guy would say. and the girl you have in the middle her name is vida guerra….she has fake breast implants….i thought “real” women were supposed to have boos like the vs models. the vs models are more toned and fit and dont’ look anorexic. the girl int he middle is fake and has a huge disproportioned body which most women don’t have. don’t put the rest of us down becuz you have some sick fettish for a huge ass. not everyone does and like a proportioned one.
jd: you’re a moron.
Having a particular flavor that hits you just right doesn’t make you an evil misogynist.
