Singin’ in the Rain is the funniest movie of all time. It really is. And while Gene Kelly, Donald O’Connor, and Debbie Reynolds are above reproach, Jean Hagen is the real comedic genius as Lina Lamont.

Singin’ in the Rain is funnier, in fact, than Young Frankenstein.

My mum loves Hollywood musicals and so do I. If you have never seen Singing in the Rain then you haven’t lived. You may never have seen such masculine role models in the form of singers and dancers, called “song and dance men” back in the day. Such a gorgeous film. So fun and playful.
