I have a $100 wager with a buddy that Saddam Hussein will never be put to death.
We made it back when Saddam Hussein was just yanked out of the spider hole. I don’t believe Hussein will ever be put to death. I believe, in proof that truth is stranger than fiction, that Saddam Hussein will find his Blue Fairy Godmother before he hits the gallows. From a review of Mother Night:

That’s what I think is going to happen with former US ally Saddam Hussein. Do you think I will win or lost $100?

easy money. I’ll take that bet and double it. I bet you $200 that he will be dead within 30 days of final judgement (IF and when the appeal process results in affirmation).
