Answer: No. Absolutely not. But dis-ease does happen, cancer and diabetes and the rest, to people who cannot put their stress, their anger, their resentment, and their pasts to rest. The body, the heart, the psyche, the mind, and God are all of the same fabric. And when it is not in union, it whispers its dissatisfaction. We rarely hear these whispers. Then there is a little “ahem” and then that is followed with a polite “cough” and finally, over time and many years and many warning, there is a loud and stern, “listen to me!” In the form of cancer, a heart attack, diabetes, and other dis-ease, disease.
