To quote Kurt Vonnegut, “it doesn’t get better than this.” What a fine day on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC.

I got up in time for church this morning, Saint James’ (awesome sermon — Father Downing is the Sermonator), ate well at the pot luck coffee hour, walked to Murky, ran into Julia while awaiting Sarah, down from NYC.

We spent the rest of the afternoon together drinking coffee and then walked around Eastern Market.

Julia and I grabbed some lunch at Mr. Henry’s, met Danny from church there and had him join us, walked back to the market, dropped Jules off at Murky’s, then walked back to 8th & C, NE, to grab the car, and then drove over to visit Sarah as she packed, readying herself for the return trip to Brooklyn. In all, that was a perfect day.

I am off to a run now.
