However, I wouldn't run four days in a row, either--I'd try Mon-Tues and Thurs-Fri. Having Wednesday off makes you feel spoiled and gives your muscles a chance to recover. Plus, running no more than two days in a row seems much less daunting (which increases the likelihood that you'll follow such a schedule, loose though it may be). However, don't be surprised if you really do become addicted to it. I never thought I'd use any word with positive connotations to describe running, but if you manage to do it three times a week for a month, you'll be a happy addict.Especially with your known-to-be-addictive personality. ;)Sorry for the enthusiasm... I am sure I won't even run 4-days-in-a-row... So my knees will be fine based on my natural laziness.

Although I would like to think I will run 7-days-a-week, I am sure I won’t… I am sure I won’t even run 4-days-in-a-row… So my knees will be fine based on my natural laziness.

By: natalie

<guid

Though you shouldn't run *every* day--3-4 days a week is all your joints should be putting up with. 5+ days is going to be bad news in the long term if not the short...Now, if you could tell my iliotibial band to cut it out and stop getting so darned excited every time I run 6 miles or more, I'd greatly appreciate it. I'm buying stock in ibuprofen...train on!

Good for you, Chris!
