I just realized that my 3 liter 6 cylinder high performace sedan is much better for the environment than your hybrid, hippy! Why?
Because my high octane autobahn-eater is parked five days-a-week while I bike to work while you commute 40+ miles round trip daily, five-days-a-week. Shame on you.
Bad hippy!

Your parked car is obviously better for the environment; however, most Americans still need to commute to work on a daily basis; at least until telecommuting becomes more common. Kudos to you for riding your bike.
Congress just passed a bill that would help the rest of the Americans who rely heavily on cars and electricity. The bill they are about to pass includes a much improved fuel economy standard — maybe the best ever — a 35 mpg average across-the-board by 2020.
That and an evolution away from fossil fuels — dirty, polluting, non-renewable, and not reliant on Middle Eastern oil — towards solar and wind — way less polluting and renewable — to 15% of our domestic use by 2020.
These guarantee the growth of renewable, clean energy; however, there is a chance they won’t pass.
I am working with a coalition to make sure this bill gets through. This legislation would be amazing and help even us commuter make less of an impact — much less than we do now, that’s for sure.
