I’m the same way with dog owners.

And you call yourself a man, Randy. Only women like cats. Ergo, you must be a woman.

Phyllidia » I don’t know how bright you are as you commented on this post instead of the post I wrote called I Hate Cats, http://chrisabraham.com/2006/02/15/i-hate-cats/#title , which would have been appropriate. This has one has nothing to do with the Broadway Musical.

I hate cats to bad. I tried feeding one that kept coming around in the backyard for a couple of days. One day, about the time I usually get home and would feed it, there are about seven cats. Needless to say, I didn’t put any more food out. One of them had babies, and the babies would climb the screen covering my sliding glass door, (I guess trying to get food). I don’t know where they all came from. I stopped feeding it and they all went away.

hate cats? ahhh…that’s sooo mean
I don’t hate cats but I won’t live with them! Cats should only live in a zoo. They reek of filth. They’ll vomit in places you can’t find it. Cat urine is one of the foulest smells ever (and it will be nearly impossible to remove from things). Cats tend to scratch up your furniture, walls, and you. They really require serious maintenance or fur will fly everywhere. And, if you live with neighbors who let their cats roam? Your mulched landscape becomes their litter box!

I have to say, dogs are surprisingly easier to care for and way less filthy to keep clean. My lab’s coat shines brilliantly…and thankfully he’ll never require a stinking litter box. Dogs (usually) actually love you and show a sense of appreciation. Dogs rule, cats drool. LOL!

I suppose the same can be said for dogs, if your neighbor is an irresponsible idiot. I’ve witnessed such people. I never figure out why they even have a pet in the first place. At the least have the courtesy to keep pets on your premises and clean up after them. It just makes perfect sense to me to do these things.
