Overheard in New York
Girl #1: I have to go to a wine-tasting tonight for some charity.
Girl #2: What’s the charity?
Girl #1: I don’t know, some kind of dystrophy.

The reason why fundraisers and fundraising is in trouble is because the treat donors like ATM machines (granted, with a higher than 200 dollar limit). Good fundraisers take the time to cultivate long-term relationships with their prospects and donors. I am devoting this phase of my career to helping United Ways build deeper relationships with people. If you’re relationship-challenged and need a consultation, please e-mail me at dianegrzyb@cs.com.
