With Love There Is No Can’t Only Won’t

It is hard enough to be in love with someone who can’t be with you but it is unbearable to be in love with someone who won’t be with you. Truth is, there is no such thing as can’t, it is always won’t.

People leave wives, kids, jobs, homes, and cities all the time over love every day. C’est normal.

There are a thousand stories and jokes of people who didn’t let “can’t” get in their way and who would do whatever it takes to be with someone, to be together.

Of course, most of them turn out generally worse than they were before and chaos (and hijinks and funny stories) always ensues but you have got to hand it to them for being brave, passionate, in love, fearless, human, and selfish.

You have to decide what you want, what you need, and what you desire and you really have to go for broke.

True dat. That’s one thing that the whole “he’s just not that into” phenomenon is all about, too–if he is into you/loves you, he is NEVER too busy/sick/overworked/tired to call. EVER. Not a case of “can’t,” it’s a case of “won’t.”

And it all comes down to the ability to be vulnerable with/for someone else. Be willing to put something of import on the line, allow your passion to be naked and fierce and true. If you can’t be vulnerable, then I daresay you are incapable of love. Let me say this again: whether you are temporarily or permanently incapable of being vulnerable, then you are unable to truly love.
