I have been doing a lot of complaining but I really do have a lot to be grateful for. An embarrassment of riches.
Firstly, great friends and family. Very tight, close, and plentiful. I know the quality of one’s friends are essential, but having loads of them is such a blessing. Not everyone — actually too few — have lots of really close friends.
I have my dream job, interactive PR, at a dream firm, Edelman, in a dream industry, public relations, in my dream city, Washington, DC.
I have a cool car, a rowing shell, and a pad with three things going for it: location, location, location. I have several people who are especially close to me whom I trust implicitly and call my family as well.
Even though dating and fitness can get out there and make a lot of noise and put me of the embittered pity pot, I have to say that it is all noise and honestly something I could control if I wanted to: be available and viulnerable to a dedicated love relationship and work out every day.
Maybe one day soon I will do one or both, but for now, I am good with focusing on my bounty rather that my lack.
