“I’m the proud owner of an original lounge chair, which I inherited from my father.” Via Blog Vivant
“He procured it from an employee of the Eames Office in the early 70s, and while it’s been schlepped across the country many times over, it’s as comfortable as ever. Yes, the cherry-wood is scuffed in places, and the leather a bit cracked. But every night, as I slouch into it, it’s ideal form cocoons by body ever so gently, reminding me to slow down, take a moment, read a bit. What’s more, the chair still carries a wonderful aroma–some mix of fine craftsmanship, supple leather, and the pages of books.”
