Took a nice afternoon ride with Wen on Saturday afternoon from Vienna to Reston town center.
I can imagine that my Pista fixed gear bike might be a bad choice for a century, both because of its gearing and also because of its set-up.
The best thing about the pista is that there are few moving parts so that even after a Winter of neglect, the Pista only required a little oil and a little air.
Of course, to get the air I needed to buy Yet Another Joe Blow floor pump because all of my floor pumps find their way into one good rain and failure.
Wen can hustle. Mind you, her bike has 24-gears! What’s up with that?
