“Sex was expected, it was unemotional and it was no big deal, but the pressure to just give it up did not match what I wanted in my heart,” says Caroline Langston via NPR, Newsbank, Miss Kelly, and Inkwell.

How can you compare being a virgin to being black? One is a choice and one is not. And as far I I know, there haven’t been mass numbers of virgins kept as slaves, hung from trees or forced to sit at the back of a bus. Besides, that NPR story isn’t true anyway. I know someone who dated her and she was hardly a virgin.
Dear Annonymous,
Do you live in a cave?
Chris didn’t equate virgins to African Americans, he said that chastity was fashionable.
Please take a little time and refresh yourself on the definitions of sarcasm, subtlety, and sexiness, while you’re at it.
The only thing ringing of repression here is your snap judgement of an entirely benign post.
Tone-down the self-rightousness and go get laid.
Nono dude, black as in fashion – not as in Aunt Jemima. Welcome to the 21st century.
And your virgin-talk is way off. Whenever I am browsing through one of those white-slave market brochures I get at home, the virgins are always the most expensive.
Also, read up on the Minoans sometime. They had it going on.
So, we are comparing virginity to clothing? We are not comparing one group of people to another group of people? Its fashionable to not be having sex in “hypersexual America”? The definitiion of hypersexual is “excessively interested or involved in sexual activity.” So, the logical conclusion is that if America is hypersexual, sex, not virginity, is in style. To try to follow this dum-ass analogy is to say that its not fashionable to wear black when its in style. Ahhhhhhhhhh, ok……….. P.S. Anthony, LOLOLOL
Hypersexuality is the old black, virginity is the new black.
Chris,
I doubt virginity is fashionable. Take a look at the teenage pregnancy and abortion statistics. People are still screwing like mad. Actually, if you heard the broadcast, you would have heard miss-pseudovirgin talk about how she was tormented and oppressed for being a virgin. Like she is the Rosa Parks of virginity or something. In reality, I know someone who dated her, and her fictitious musings are really, well, quite amusing.
Fashionable is not synonymous with popular.
According to Thesaurus.com, it is……….

Oh, and by the way, David is mean. He isn’t charming like Anthony :)
Sorry, I was using this one for popular, “Widely used term, literally meaning ‘of the people’. Negatively, in contrast to ‘high culture’, ‘art’, etc. and as synonymous with ‘mass’.”
And yes, David is mean and Anthony is charming. It is because Anthony has ten years on David and so do I. Age breed charm. That’s why young women will actually go out with old farts like us.
Hey Chris,
Thanks for clarifying. And you are charming as well. I can see that age breeds good manners too…..David, take note! By the way, you don’t look like an old fart. :)
P.S. David, I am mad sexy, in case you were wondering……..
