My mom just sent me the best story in response to Stone Soup,
“Back in the late sixties Bob and I went to Staten Island on a Sunday afternoon to hear Pete Seiger sing. When we arrived there he was constructing Rock Soup in a huge pot with veggies, etc., donated by people arriving. That was the message of the loving sixties era.”
