Faust asks, “I would like to go skulling [sic] with you, show me the way?” I am glad you asked!
Well, you need to register for Beginner’s Sculling.
You have until June 13th to save up the $150 for the five-day class.
The class is offered in three time slots, 6-7:30 AM, 5-6:30 PM and 6:30 – 8 PM.
And this is what you get, “The Thompson boat Center Learn-to-Scull is designed to give basic safety and handling instructions for the use of the 1-person sculls rented by the boathouse. Graduates of this class will receive a certification card which enables them to rent TBC hulls. This class is ideal for those looking for a new form of recreation and fitness. Rowing is an excellent low-impact cardiovascular activity, and the Potomac river runs though miles of national parkland and monuments, offering a beautiful setting for this activity.”
Sorry, Faust, about the first class starting in June. That’s a bummer.
After June 13th, there are plenty of available classes, though: 6/13 -6/17, 6/20 – 6/24, 6/27 - 7/1, 7/4 – 7/8, 7/11 – 7/15, 7/18 – 7/22, 7/25 – 7/29, 8/1 – 8/5, 8/8 – 8/12, 8/15 – 8/19, 8/22 – 8/26, 8/29 – 9/2, 9/5 – 9/9, 9/12 – 9/16
