My first blogging workshop for the Writer’s Center and Arlington Arts Center went off smashingly and the students and I got along swimmingly but it wasn’t perfect. Luckily, it turns out to benefit the class and me. Mas tiempo para nosotros.
There just isn’t enough space in 2 hours. And if you look at course outline on the blog I made for the course, Applied Blogging Workshop, then you will see that I didn’t focus as much on the nuts and bolts of starting a blog — the step-by-step do this, then do this, then do this — and I feel like maybe there was a desire for that.
Since it wasn’t a hands-on course and we weren’t in a computer lab, I didn’t take it that granular, but will next time. On the other hand, the entire class wants to attend the follow-up class on the 28th, Blog of Your Own, A: How to Write Your World, which had been cancelled from lack of interest and has been uncancelled. And there is still plenty of room so if you want to come on board, please do.
If you want all of the intel and content of the course, please check out the blog I set up for the class, Applied Blogging Workshop. Everything for free — all except my riveting wit and charm.
