Signing Up For Chemistry.com from a Woman’s Perspective

by Chris Abraham on 03/02/2006 ·

“Sign-up takes about 30 minutes, and yields a profile similar to a Myers-Briggs characterization.”

Chemistry.com electronically matches you with a few individuals using a secret formula that is presumably grounded in sound developmental science (joke). You are asked to rate your interest each person using a sliding scale tool. If you slide the notch one nanometer above “moderately interested,” the individual is put into an Active Matches silo (more on that later). Out of the 5 people who chemistry.com matched to me, and the 9 people who have expressed interest in me themselves, I’ve expressed a moderate interest in one person. p.s. I haven’t posted a photo yet because I don’t have one that makes me look enough like the vixen that I am.”

Editor’s Note: I, Chris Abraham, am underwriting the Chemistry.com subscription fee for my lovely and anonymous female friend for blog fodder. I really want to see what the experience is for a woman on a dating site. And I am betting you might want to experience it right along with me. This will be a continuing series following my cute and available friend through her Chemistry.com experiences at almost real time. Enjoy!
