I have been telling my single female friend for a couple years now that she should take a look at Find a Husband After 35 Using What I Learned at Harvard Business School. Now she wants the book.
I even secured her a signed copy from Rachel Greenwald, inscribed to her.
I thought she might need some help, some strategy. Make it her business. Of course, with vitriolic indignant rage, she shunned the book — and hated me every time I mentioned it. Rightfully so. She is absolutely and indisputedly gorgeous and successful.
It ain’t easy out there for anyone, even the gorgeous and successful.
I mean, not even Maureen Dowd can find her mister right (or, rather, mister equal and appropriate).
Now that she is three months into 35 I thought I would try again so I offered the book to her, “There is still a signed copy of her book made out to you if you’re interested.” Her reply? “Very funny. Yes i want the book (bastard).”
Finally!
