I ordered my Randall Model 1 a year ago July. I popped an email to Gary Randall last night asking when I can expect delivery. I received an email back from Gary. His reply? “Delivery 7/17/08.”
Mind you, the knife is handmade and is suffused with tradition. It is being made for me. The Model 1 was the knife I fetished while brandishing a KA-BAR.
On July 17th, 2008, I will own something perfect and suffused with tradition. The price for the Model 1 “All-Purpose Fighting Knife” with a 7″ carbon blade is a steal at $280
“This is the knife made famous by Allied combat troops in World War II and since widely used in all theaters of war.”
I will post a picture of it when I receive it in the Summer of 08.
