I received a challenge from Janna that I, Chris Abraham, am a big faker who is acting all tough and bitter just because its a sexier stance. What do you think?
To wit, “Oh, how I wish that Chris Abraham would write something about relationships that reflect, in fact, that he does get it, even though his actions and blog posts peskily and persistently like to boast otherwise. You totally get what good relationships are. But, you think it’s not sexy to admit it.”

He may well know something about healthy relationships, but at least as far as the romance is concerned, he never actually engages in them.
Which is a bit like being a great chef, but subsisting on ramen noodles and twinkies.
Chris quoted AA saying “Our secrets are our disease”. In his case, the stuff he spews shamelessly onto the internet and into cocktail party conversation is his disease - or at least a picturesque description thereof. His secrets, ironically, are actually his healthy bit.
I actually am a good cook who subsists on ramen noodles and twinkies, actually — very literally. And it is actually, “our secrets are our sickness” but that doesn’t change the tone, the tenor, or the truth of your comment. Janna?
I think Mark and I would agree that we are privileged to know Chris’ beautiful, resilient, and hopeful secret side.
Bah humbug!
