On Accusations of Secret Prison Camps

Most Americans really and truly don’t want to know how sausage is made; as well, most Americans don’t truly want to know what it takes to keep America both “safe” and “free.” So stop asking. We really don’t want to know.

The job of the intelligence and national security arms of any government is to prevent widespread panic and to minimize national and domestic exposure to harm and danger, for both the authority of the government and the integrity of the populace.

We really don’t want to know.

In short, their job is to keep us fat, happy, and clueless. Out of context, everything seems cruel and unusual, especially when it comes to life and death in a lawless environment during a time of war and terrorism.

We really don’t want to know.

During peacetime, there is certainly a lot of incomprehensible stuff going on every day in order to maintain order and comfort; during a time of war, lots and lots and lots of eggs break (are broken), lots and lots of meat and coffee beans go into the grinder.

We really don’t want to know.

And don’t worry because France, Germany, and all the other EU nations (let’s not even mention the country-without-a-written-constitution, Great Britian) are breaking eggs and grinding the hell out of meat, too.

We really don’t want to know.

We’re all sort of in it together.
