IMDB Turns 15

by Chris Abraham on 17/10/2005 ·

Internet Movie Database (IMDB) is now 15-years-old. I am pretty surprised it was pre-web — it was USENET: rec.arts.movies. Via Slashdot and IMDB.

I pretty much use Amazon, Wikipedia, Google, and Internet Movie Database (IMDB) and my outsourced brain.

IMDB is pretty bloody brilliant and has been known to me since my nascent days on the web, although even then it had already been around for three years.

I personally think that harking back to USENET is cheating but I might be the only one.
