Put away the pom-poms, Chrissy.
The number of jobs lost during the Bush administration is over 5 million. Just to keep up with population growth, 150,000 jobs have to be created each month – i.e. with these record-breaking numbers (for the miserable Bush administration record, of course) employment improved by about 57,000 jobs, a whopping .0005% gain! We’re still down 4.6% from where we were five years ago before Bush and his dream team started their bit.
For a bit of perspective, over 21 million jobs were created during the Clinton administration. Now, if Bush’s team can keep these record numbers rolling in for the rest of their time in office, they’ll achieve an entire 10% of what the Clinton administration did in this field! Woo-hoo!
Well, at least jobs aren’t still being lost, like they have been for the two-thirds or so of this unfortunate period…
Mate, when you bother to be a touch objective and numerate, (and exhibit basic calculator skills and a memory span longer than a goldfish’s) 207,000 appears a rather modest number, indeed.
But then, perhaps we should be a bit more sensitive to this administration’s self-esteem, considering their below average abilities… Let’s pull together and give a big Special Olympics cheer for the Bush team and their Really Hard Work. Hip, hip, Hurray! C’mon boys!
