The Devil’s Cone of Silence

by Chris Abraham on 29/06/2005 ·

Babble is an amazing tool for private phone communications in close-quarter environments, but I am sure it would drive my coworkers completely mad.

Babble creates an echo chaff of multiple samples of your own voice to render a confusing and unintelligible crowd of you through two speakers that aim outwords, thereby disguising your conversation to those around you.

At $395, what price privacy.

Sadly, I believe that those coworkers would be made quite mad by the maddening devil noises coming from the next cubicle. It surely must be the closest thing to what goes on in the mind of a madman, a schizophrenic.

I don’t know whether to say 1) that nobody cares what you’re saying or; 2) that everything you say comes out unintelligable so it’s completely redundant.

I hate it when I can’t pick an insult.
