School has more to do with socializing, fitting in, and playing the game than in anything else. It is the same with work.
The best student is not what schools are the most interested in producing, schools are interesting in producing students who can fit in (called socializing) and play the game (called behavior).
We never talk about that, but there it is.
Fitting in and playing the game are always the x factor.
Don’t you also notice that those negative colleagues who are always complaining are never good at playing the game and fitting in?
Well, playing the game and fitting in does not mean “playing by the rules,” funnily enough.
