“I think we need to bring back beatings.”
This anonymous contributer continues,
“It works wonderfully here. The teachers write a bunch of stuff on the board, tell the kids to copy it then go off to drink tea or do something that’s actually profitable for them. The kids all do their work diligently and silently because they’ll get a hiding that will give them PTSD for years if they don’t. The end result is the same as in the US – the elite’s kids come out of school with a good education, the poor come out illiterate and unqualified for anything. The difference is that no one gets shot at school and the teachers are a lot less stressed here.”
