The pre-2003 BMWs are some of the most sublime and gorgeous car flesh I have ever seen whereas the 2003-present BMWs are bizarre.
Every BMW dealer I visited while shopping told me the new design of the 3, 5, and 7-series has been “very unpopular” and that “BMW has been making back-paddling mid-model-year design changes.”
A sad state of affairs, BMW.
I am happy with my 2003 530i and won’t be upgrading any time soon.
So, BMW, you’re doing a New Coke. Just go back to Bavarian Classic.

FYI: This posting is intended ONLY to let the reader know in some casual way that Chris is now the (proud) owner of a BMW. I am not far behind as I intend to buy a 3-series next month or the following. I will brag too.
