collarsUp thumb The History of Wearing Your Collar Down is for Poor PeopleI received an email from Liam Donov with the history of the “Collar Up” article, “The original was published by a satire magazine run by friends of mine called the ‘Georgetown Lampoon’ in 2003″

“I linked over to your blog from wonkette and saw that you’d posted the ‘collar up’ article– I’m not sure if you’re aware of its origins, but I thought you should at least attribute it to its writers. The original was published by a satire magazine run by friends of mine called the ‘Georgetown Lampoon’ in 2003– everyone on campus got a kick out of it, and somehow it mad its way accross the web without giving the guys any credit. They have since changed their name to the Georgetown Heckler (legal fight with the Harvard Lampoon) but I think it would be appropriate to give them a link given the amount of traffic I’m sure you get and are getting from the piece. Thanks.”
